I turned 53 in July. My last period was July 2018 so I was officially menopausal July 2019. I was suffering through the symptoms, like many of us, for 5 or 6 years prior to the transition into menopause. Weight gain, depression and no energy became so acute I had to find something! I was so miserable and sad. My menopause “discovery” journey began in April 2020 after 10 months of severe suffering and began the On Track program in May.
I am happy to report that I have lost 16 lbs altogether! I haven’t seen 140’s on the scale in about 5 years. Menopausal symptoms are GONE! No hot flashes, I sleep through the night, have increased energy, cravings for salty, fatty and sweet foods have been replaced with your absolutely amazing meals! On the occasion I order out, I am disappointed because my On Track meals ALWAYS taste better! I am still working on my thyroid and am so encouraged by the results so far that I am confident that i will get to the bottom of that baby too! Another great change i want to share is that my husband thanked me for my good example. He too is making some changes. He has lost 20 lbs by drastically reducing soda and juice. He loves the cauliflower breadsticks and several other meals I’ve made. This has not been overnight. He has high blood pressure is still about 50 lbs overweight and needs to manage his stress better. But he is now aware of what small changes can do to improve his health and is more willing to make them bit by bit. By his next checkup, he will be able to ditch the BP meds!
I’m so happy for him and for us! So ladies, don’t give up on your husbands! The bigger the change that he needs to be make, the less he can handle. Be patient and consistent in your own routine. Set the example and try to resist scolding and lecturing. He will eventually come around. I so appreciate the work you do Karen, the genuine care and concern you have for our unique, diverse female makeup. You sift through the misunderstandings and misinformation to give clear guidance, support and confidence with sincerity. I love you, Karen, for the person you are, what you have done to help me personally and for all of you do in OnTrack! Thank you doesn’t seem adequate but it’s all I’ve got! 🥰😘 You are a Champion! Thank you!
