That’s right people, I am here to tell you that pretty much everything you believed about weight loss simply is a pile of you know what! If you’re anything like me, which you probably are or you wouldn’t be here, you have spent your whole life trying to lose weight. We all want there to be some magic weight loss formula, diet, shake, pill, or workout that is going to get us that perfect physique and keep us there forever! Have you found it yet? No because there is no such thing.
%95 of Diets Fail
The dieting industry is a $55 billion a year industry globally. Yet 95% of diets fail, with most regaining their lost weight in 1-5 years and 85% of dieters are women. Depressing, but let me be a bacon…. oops I mean beacon 😉 of hope in this endless roller coaster of dieting.
Unfortunately the best money maker when it comes to weight loss plans is to create a one size fits all program, that swears it will be the cure all to your weight problems. This is what sells and this unfortunately is part of the problem. For most people it isn’t realistic to think you’re going to drink shakes for the rest of your life or never eat carbs or god forbid never eat sugar….. Ever again……really people who can do that!?
It’s time to figure out your perfect diet and figure out why you aren’t losing weight. For some it is all about the emotions and the ones we are hiding from, that food helps to make feel better. This usually tends to be in the form of sugar… unfortunately eating a crown of broccoli, crying on your kitchen floor from a break up, doesn’t quite make you feel as good as eating a chocolate cake.
For others its hormones especially for women. Those pesky hormones are wreaking havoc on our systems these days. For many, if you don’t address hormones, that ever growing inner tube, sitting around your waistline, is going to continue to grow no matter how much salad you eat.
Foods sensitivities are another one that few people even realize they have. Food sensitivities can show up in many forms such as bloating, heart burn, skin problems, constipation, headaches, anxiety and you guessed it WEIGHT GAIN!
