Perimenopause can begin any time typically between your early 40’s to 50’s and symptoms can last anywhere from a few years to 10+ years. Shifts in hormone levels during this time affect women both physically and psychologically, causing changes including mood swings, insomnia, vaginal dryness, night sweats, hot flashes and weight gain. Through my private coaching sessions and proven protocols my goal is to help you alleviate most if not all symptoms of perimenopause to make this transition as pleasant as possible!
Menopause is the point when a woman no longer has menstrual periods for at least 12 months. Post menopause is the stage after menopause. There are several conditions that you could be at a higher risk of after menopause. During this stage, menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, may ease for many women. However, some women continue to experience menopausal symptoms for a decade or longer after the menopause transition. As a result of a lower level of estrogen, postmenopausal women are at increased risk for a number of health conditions, such as osteoporosis and heart disease.
*Other hormone imbalances that I can help you with include hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency or high cortisol, estrogen dominance, endometriosis, PCOS, PMS, PMDD and type two diabetes.
*I know you are a busy woman and I promise that you will not be spending more then 10-20 minutes a week on each module.
Come to your private session with all of your questions, so I can address them and get you on track to having happy hormones and sustainable weight loss!
At the ripe old age of 42, I started heading into premature menopause. Overnight I went from a happy go lucky gal to a hot mess! I was waking up multiple times in the night drenched in sweat, sex drive ….ahh what sex drive? Hot flashes all throughout the day, missing periods, breast tenderness for weeks at a time, 10 pound weight gain all in the belly, grey hair and fine lines popping up daily this wasn’t fun!
I thought no way that I the nutritionist, health nut would be so affected by this transition and at such an early age. I believe many women think that because they are healthy, eat right , exercise that they will go through this time unscathed. Unfortunely that is not the case and over 80% of women will suffer for 8-10 years on average as they transition from peri to post menopause.
Where do women go during this time for help? Their doctors? Their friends? Mothers?
Midlife women are not getting the help they need because all of those people above tend to know very little, if anything, about how to treat hormone imbalances. The doctors solutions tend to be birth control (toxic, ruins the gut, lowers hormones, increases risk of stroke, shrinks the brain, increases risk of breast cancer), hysterectomy, anti depressants, sleeping medication, ablations or poor they give out poor advice like eat less exercise more!
