Ever wonder about the value of seeing a nutritionist and weight loss coach? Maybe you have been following my blog and wondering “What could she really do to help me?” With all the choices out there and free access to information with a simple google search, why would someone pay to see me or any other nutritionist?
1. What you’re doing isn’t working
If getting healthy and gaining control was something you could do on your own then you would already be there! If you are on the internet googling your next best weight loss or health cure then more than likely you’re in need of an expert. With all the information out there it is extremely difficult to figure out what you need. Being able to talk to someone one on one, share exactly what you are going through and coming up with a program that meets your needs works. You keep proving that googling and trial and error don’t work.
2. You’re eating your emotions.
Whether you’re hitting that bag of cookies to drown out the screams of your children or berating yourself on a daily basis not to eat so much, your relationship with food is a reflection of what you feel or how much you don’t want to feel. Unfortunately being told what to eat and when to workout doesn’t address your emotional attachment to eating. Once again, having an expert to help you uncover those emotions can be the missing piece to lasting success.
We all need accountability. Having someone keep you on track, help you set goals and hold you accountable can be critical when entering into a new health regime. It is too easy to fall back into old habits. Reporting in works!
4. You need to be seen
I know it sounds strange but honestly we all just want to be seen and heard. Women tend to put everyone’s needs before their own, which often leads to emotional burn out. We have a hard time giving to ourselves and allowing someone to take care of us. The simple act of talking about your issues whether emotional or physical, can help give you the strength you need to heal.
5. You’re not an expert
Nutrition and weight loss for women is complicated. There are many factors that go into successful weight management and optimal health such as hormones, digestion, nutritional deficiencies, emotions and of course the food and exercise we need. You are unique and a cookie cutter program simply won’t cut it. You need an expert to help figure out what the heck is going on and what is the best course of action to take.
With the New Year upon us and resolutions a plenty consider trying a new path to better health. I offer a free 20 minute consultation, no strings attached, to give you the opportunity to see if we are a good fit.
